The Scrutiny Committee: scrutinises service delivery and policy; reviews the adequacy of arrangements and procedures, policies and practices in operation in relation to corporate governance; reviews and oversees the operation of the Council's complaints procedures; considers any report by the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman in respect of any finding of maladministration against the Council and considers the annual reports of the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman; reviews the adequacy of the arrangements and procedures in operation in relation to the assessment and management of risk; scrutinises the performance of the organisations providing arts and cultural services and sport and leisure services on behalf of the Council.
